Visit to the exhibition Lost Gardens of London at the Garden Museum with Dr Todd Longstaffe-Gowan, landscape architect and historian and guest curator of the exhibition

Spanning many centuries, these lost gardens are brought to life through many splendid paintings, drawings, prints, maps and photographs. A botanic garden under Waterloo Station, the Surrey Zoological Gardens in Southwark with its gothic edifices, craggy promontories and tortoise grotto, the luxury Hippodrome Racecourse in Notting Hill, designed to rival Ascot and Epsom, together with exotic examples of wildlife and planting are just some of the delights revealed in this fascinating exhibition.
