This delightful exhibition looks at the reasons for wearing hats from the practical and symbolic to the aesthetic and transformative. Exhibits range from purposeful hats for sport and leisure to exotic and whimsical creations for stage and screen. Highlights include an Italian raffia cycling helmet, a floral sun bonnet, Ghanaian ceremonial pieces, and a red snug cap by the celebrated contemporary milliner Jo Miller.
