Paul Cézanne was an inspirational figure to younger artists in the development of modern art. He challenged conventions and broke the rules producing a unique vision; for Pablo Picasso, he was “the father of us all”. This superb exhibition brings together paintings, watercolours and drawings exploring the breadth of this great Post-Impressionist artist’s work.

A guided visit to the exhibition The EY Exhibition: Cézanne at Tate Modern
This major exhibition brings together over eighty works exploring the breadth of Cézanne’s work from his famous still life paintings and Provençale landscapes to his portraits and bather scenes. It will trace his relationships with the art establishment in Paris and the Impressionists from whom he was to distance himself in the 1870s to forge his own radical style.
